REVIEW ; IPHONE 13
Apple provides a wonderful update.
Numerous substantial improvements were made to the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini, including improved cameras, a larger battery, greater storage, and a brighter screen. The iPhone 13 is a pleasant improvement on the already fantastic iPhone 12 family from the previous year. Its lack of radical change from earlier models may disappoint some, but that's actually part of its appeal. One of the secrets to Apple's success with the iPhone has been familiarity, and the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are those same dependable friends who seem to never change.
The iPhone 13 has a 6.1-inch display on the front. In the same way as the 12 and 12 Mini, both are OLED panels. The panels of the Pro versions received an upgrade and high refresh rates, but the brightness of the 13 and 13 Mini models was noticeably increased.
There are two noticeable design modifications in addition to the colour adjustments. The dual rear cameras are housed diagonally in a redesigned camera bump. It's amusing how a little adjustment may alert folks. People stopped to inquire whether this was the "new iPhone" as I was testing it.
The notch is slimmer, which is the other distinction. It's still a notch, and I still have mixed feelings about how it looks. However, I'll accept a 20% reduction.
Apart from that, the phones have a Ceramic Shield covering over the screen, and they have an IP68 rating for dust- and water-resistance, meaning they can withstand being submerged for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 6 metres (about 20 feet). The models I tested had no trouble withstanding an unexpected downpour in the middle of a hot summer day.
Cinematic mode is one of the most anticipated new camera capabilities. Similar to Portrait mode in video, Cinematic mode allows you to switch between focusing on different subjects while Portrait mode just blurs the background artistically. This causes the foreground or backdrop to be out of focus. Almost everyone I showed a Cinematic video to was in awe of the dramatic effect.
The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are dependable phones that the majority of users should be content to use for the foreseeable future.
